the fur-effect

I recently picked up the new MUA fur-effect nails kit in 'fluffy puff' and thought it would be pretty cool to do a quick blogpost/tutorial about it! this is the first time I have used them, so this is new for me too.

Products used:
Nail Polish remover pads
Cotton bud
Nail clippers
BarryM nail paint - Berry icecream
BarryM nail paint - Strawberry icecream
Rimmel 60second - Clear topcoat
MUA Fur-effect nails - Fluffy Puff

After cutting/shaping my nails, I applied a base coat using Rimmel 60second top/base coat.

Then, I applied BarryM Berry icecream nail paint to every finger but my ring-finger.

On my ring-finger I applied BarryM Strawberry icecream nail paint. Once dry, I then added a top coat onto all of my nails using the Rimmel top/basecoat I used earlier.

Before the topcoat dried on my ring finger, I dipped my nail into the fur-effect so that the whole nail was covered in 'fur'. After waiting a few second to allow drying time, I then blew away the excess fur to leave the fur effect.

This is what the fur effect looked like once I had finished! Pretty cool right?

however...

I would recommend this effect if you are doing it as a one-off, or before a night out, etc. I applied this to my nails in the morning and by the afternoon, the fur was looking abit tatty and had started to attract dirt. Not a good look at all. Apart from that, I think this is an amazing idea and will deffo use this before I go out sor special occassions!

Have you tried this range of products?
What did you think?

thanks for reading!
