a bit of light reading | HELP

Recently I've been feeling a tad blue :( so I have decided to start reading again. I used to read non-stop, always having a Harry Potter book or a Twilight book at hand, but these are the only collections of books I have read - ridiculous I KNOW. Anywho, I have decided to broaden my horizons in the world of books and thought that I should probably swot up on as much fashion info and gossip before setting of to study a fashion course at university! I have raided my house and local charity shops and gathered these books, in the hope I will become a fashion mastermind afterwards.

However, I thought I would make this post to ask you lovely readers if there are any other major iconic fashion books that I should look into purchasing? as I have no clue and am stuck in a rutt with what to search for and would help me out millions!

thankyou!

Soap & Glory Peaches and Clean

Soap & Glory's Peaches and Clean is a 4-in-1 Wash-off deep cleansing milk to rid skin of makeup, as well as purifying and energisizing at the same time. It has ingredients include peach extract, quillaja bark and jojobs oil - no I didn't make these up! I have a bit of a rollercoaster relationship with my skin, finding products that work wonders to begin with and then all of a sudden do not rid me of spots and blemishes any longer so when I found Soap and Glory's Peaches and Cream I was abit doubtful on how well it would work and how long. I have quite an oily T-zone but my cheeks can get really dry, so I always need to add moisture to majority of my skin.

The product smells absolutely incredible, with a peach scent that makes it seem almost edible! (I don't suggest eating it though, as you may gain an upset tummy) It has the perfect consistancy as it is quite thick, but still liquid enough to spread around your face and it manages to take all the reminances of my makeup away with less than one pumps worth of product. My skin has never felt so soft, and I have noticed that alot of my spots and blemishes have disappeared even after a few days of using this product. Before I even apply moisturiser, I can feel that my skin is also not as oily in my T-zone area and also that my cheeks are alot less dry, so I would go as far to say that this is by far the best cleanser that I have ever used! Hopefully my skin wont become too used to me using it and stop working for me!

I would recomment this product to anyone, as it has sorted all of the problems that I face with my skin and would imagine it works a dream with majority of other people too. I think the current Soap & Glory offer at Boots is that you recieve a free gift when you spend £10 on S&G products! :)

Have you tried any Soap & Glory Products lately? What are your faves?

university - bits & bobs

In september I will be going to university (hopefully) to study Fashion Styling - yayayay!! So, me and my mum have started the shopping around for bits and bobs to make my accomodation homely and cute. These are a few of the things that I have picked up so far..

This cute duvet cover from Debenhams was a total bargain at £55.50 down to £27.50, and it was totally what I have been looking for as I wanted something that looked like Cath Kidston pattern, but without that hefty pricetag. The bed that I get in my accomodation is only a single, but I like having a massive duvet to snuggle into hence why I bought the double! Also from Debenhams, I got these floral patterned mugs as they were £25 down to £12.50 - another bargain!

Then we went to Primark, not in search for anything uni-related just for a nosey look and then ended up returning with this cute mug/cup/flask thing-a-ma-jig for £2.50 just because I think its the cutest thing ever and I suppose it may come in handy at some stage on an early morning or long journey or something! The last item I picked up was this really cosy floral throw from Primark. I knew how soft and cuddly these are because I already have one (mine is in the background of this picture), and this one was £3 in the sale from £6 and I thought What the hell!

Hopefully I will pick up loads more cute items, and I will share them with you when I do!
Are you off to university this year? Have you got any cute items like mine?

The Aggy Bow Sandal

I'm not really a fan of Agyness Deyn, neither did I love her creeper style collection that she collaborated with Dr.Martens, however her latest collection has DEFINITELY stolen my heart. The Spring/Summer collection was inspired by Japan and the unique style of Tokyo's Harajuku Girls.

"As with the autumn/winter 2012-13 range, it will appeal to girls who are confident and who have a strong personal expression of style and identity in the way that they dress and what this says about themselves," said Deyn.

My favourite piece has to be the Aggy Bow Sandal in Patent navy as they have gorgeous bows and an overall childlike flatform sandal look to them - why would I not want to go back to my childhood? I loved wearing shoes like these then! They are also available in a matte red colour, have a leather upper with the classic Dr. Marten patent effect, air-cushioned soles and a buckle fastening and are just absolutely perfect!

These may not be everybody's cup of tea, but I love how wacky and out-there they are! Obviously they wouldn't look the greatest with a whole load of clashy coloured clothes and alot of other wacky bits and bobs, but if you were to wear them with a plain outfit they would spice it up in just the same way as a bold necklace or hair accessory would. The only downer that they have is that they are a whopping £120.00, which I certainly do not have, so I'm afraid to say that these will have to stay on my ever growing wishlist until I win the lottery or rob a bank!

What do you think of the collection and the Aggy Bow Sandal?
Do you own a pair? What are they like?

My jewels

So easter is over, a ridiculous amount of chocolate has been consumed and im feeling overly round and tubby right now, so I thought what better way to keep myself occupied than too sort out my jewellery collection? as it was in an awful clutter.
This post is more like a little insight into the little beauties that I have and love as jewellery is my fav!

I wont bore you and explain where everything is from, I will just briefly say that:
Picture one is all random purchases from ebay, holidays, freebies and so on
Picture two is from River Island and H&M
Picture three is a mixture of Next, Claires Accessories and Charity shops
Picture four is of course Topshop <3
Picture five are my purchases from Kukee - The most awesome affordable jewellery store!
& pictures six and seven are my jewellery from Primark
I honestly thought I had alot more than I actually do, but I suppose that is still quite a large collection!

I use hooks to store my collection of jewellery so that they can always be out on show where they belong! I try to organise it so that one hook is girly, the next more grunge looking and then the third is just full of the random, bulky stuff. But every now and then it all goes abit higgle-de-piggle-de so I have to redo it again!

How do you organise your jewellery?
